Why can't the Transcoding Module encode in any bitrate?
Solution
The answer comes down to the term "Lossy Format".
Both MP3 and Ogg Vorbis audio formats are considered to be a "Lossy Format". This means that every time a stream is encoded some quality is lost.
You cannot re-encode your station in the same bitrate, nor can you re-encode your station at a higher bitrate. Your main stream must always be encoded at a higher bitrate than any re-encoded (transcoded) stream.
