What is the Hostname and Port?
Solution
This is the hostname (or IP address) and the Port Number of either
your ShoutCAST or IceCast streaming server. This is where LiveWebDJ
will broadcast your station to.
To locate this information:
A) If you are using a Stream Hosting Provider
* Login to your Stream Hosting Provider's Control Panel.
* This information should be presented somewhere within
the server settings tab.
* If you cannot locate this information on your own, we
suggest contacting your Stream Hosting Provider for
this information.
B) If you are operating your own ShoutCAST or IceCast server
* Look at the Web Admin Interface URL (Web Address)
to your streaming server software (ShoutCAST / IceCast)
* It should be presented in a fashion similar to:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1234/
* xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of your server.
* 1234 (or whatever numbers appear there) is the Port.
The password will also be required in order for LiveWebDJ to
broadcast your station. This password is set within the
configuration of your streaming server software (ShoutCAST /
IceCast).
Also be sure to set the "Server Type" to either:
1) ShoutCast
2) IceCast 1.x
3) IceCast 2.x
... depending upon which streaming server software you use.
